Gulf foreign ministers were due in Muscat on Monday to discuss managing maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, and Iranian officials had briefed that an Iran-Oman shipping route agreement would be signed there. Late on Sunday, Oman’s foreign minister Badr Albusaidi said the meeting had been postponed in the interests of consensus. An Iranian commercial vessel was struck early on Sunday near Qeshm Island, about 14 miles from Bandar Abbas. Iranian state media reported one person killed and three wounded; state broadcaster IRIB put the injured at four. IRNA quoted the Qeshm governor blaming a terrorist enemy. Separately, UKMTO reported a vessel hit by an unknown projectile late on Saturday while transiting the strait, sparking a fire and prompting local authorities to help evacuate the crew; it did not identify the flag. CENTCOM did not comment. Asked directly by a reporter whether the United States had struck the Iranian cargo vessel, Trump said: "I don’t want to say." The Blockade Ledger: 100 Ships, and Zero Without Permission

The Crown Prince Asked Twice, and Was Refused
A source told CNN that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had spoken twice with Trump to urge American strikes on the Houthis as the militia advanced down the Red Sea coast, and that Trump declined. The Houthis claimed responsibility on Sunday for an attack on a Saudi military base. Reporting described a blame game beginning inside the Yemeni government and its backers over the speed of the collapse, one figure calling it a failure of epic proportions. Iraq, meanwhile, pledged an investigation into the drone launches from its territory that struck the Saudi East-West pipeline.
